KATANA™ Zirconia ONE SPEED Enables Approximately 8-Minute Sintering with CEREC® SpeedFire Pre-Heating Function

LAS VEGAS, NV — September 23, 2026 — Kuraray Noritake Dental Inc., has announced that KATANA™ Zirconia ONE SPEED can be sintered in approximately 8 minutes when used with the pre-heating function built into the CEREC® SpeedFire furnace.*

Designed for efficient chairside dentistry, KATANA™ Zirconia ONE SPEED already provides clinicians with a fast zirconia workflow. The use of the SpeedFire pre-heating function further streamlines the process by reducing the standard 9-minute sintering cycle to approximately 8 minutes.

This feature takes advantage of the pre-heating capability already incorporated into the CEREC® SpeedFire. When activated, the furnace is pre-heated to approximately 400°C prior to beginning the sintering process, helping clinicians maximize the efficiency of their chairside workflow.

Simple Pre-Heating Workflow

To utilize the SpeedFire pre-heating function, prior to sintering, clinicians can select the pre-heat function on the SpeedFire screen and confirm that the function is active. The furnace then pre-heats to approximately 400°C. Once the target temperature is reached KATANA™ Zirconia ONE SPEED can be sintered in approximately 8 minutes.*
