Yes, we recommend the use of Alloy Primer on the pure gold surface to assure long term durability. Alloy Primer contains the adhesive monomer VBATDT (6-(N-(4-vinylbenzyl)propylamino)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-dithione) which bonds chemically to precious metals. Alloy Primer is not necessary when cementing gold alloys with PANAVIA SA CEMENT due to the concentrated MDP in the cement paste.
